PURCHASE
Submit Purchase Authorization identifying each artwork and its frame style and listing retail and net prices. Written approval for each artwork will be indicated on these forms and returned to VIART to authorize purchase process.
COORDINATION AND SUPERVISION OF FRAMING, SHIPPING, SECURED STORAGE AND INSURANCE
Review, award and supervise bids for framing, shipping and secured storage services.
Recommend, arrange and supervise work by third parties for conservation, matting, framing, mounting and special installation devices (pedestals, hanging rods and security installation systems, etc.) for purchased art, to be approved by the client.
Coordinate insurance coverage for project.
SCHEDULING OF PLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION COORDINATION
Allocate purchased artworks at specific locations on floor plans. Identify each artwork for delivery to designated location.
Supervise the artwork installation by professional art handlers according to floor plan allocations. On-site changes may be made.
LABELING SYSTEMS AND DOCUMENTATION
Prepare a computerized record-keeping system for artworks, including existing inventory, and provide:
Label to be attached to each artwork with accession number, artist, title, date, medium and size.
Computer printout with above information and floor locations, purchase price, source of artwork, frame style and source of frame.
Slides of artwork identified by accession number. CD-ROM system is also available.
Inventory diskette supplied for client's inventory system. (Optional)
